A little help, when you need it.

Signing in and verification emails
Check that your email address is correct, then look in your spam or junk folder. Verification codes expire after 10 minutes. If you need a new code, return to sign in and try again. Wait at least one minute between requests and use the most recent code.
If account creation or sign-in fails, include the exact error message in your support email.
Bookmarks aren’t syncing
Make sure you’re connected to the internet and signed into the same account in each browser. Unlock your vault if encryption is enabled. Open Account and choose Retry Sync.
If you see a version conflict, export your bookmarks before choosing which version to keep. Avoid uninstalling the extension or clearing browser storage while you have unsynced changes.
Syncing the browser’s Bookmarks Bar
In the extension, choose “Sync Bookmarks Bar to browser” and allow bookmark access when prompted. This copies your Basic Bookmark Bar entries into the browser’s bar. Other native browser bookmarks are not automatically imported into your account.
Locking your vault, signing out or stopping sync leaves existing browser bookmark copies in place.
Encryption and recovery
Use “Forgot password?” on the sign-in screen to request a reset link for your sign-in password. If two-factor authentication is enabled, you will also need an authenticator or unused recovery code.
Your vault password is separate from your sign-in password. If you forget your vault password, choose the recovery-key option on the unlock screen and set a new vault password. Without your vault password or recovery key, we cannot recover your encrypted library.
Never send us your sign-in password, vault password, recovery key or verification codes.
Authenticator codes
Enable two-factor authentication from Account → Privacy. Scan the QR code or enter the setup key in your authenticator app, then enter its six-digit code. Save the recovery codes somewhere safe; each can be used once if your authenticator is unavailable.
Use an up-to-date extension before enabling two-factor authentication. If you lose both your authenticator and all recovery codes, contact support; email access alone cannot bypass two-factor authentication.
Report a problem
Please include your browser and version, your Basic Bookmark extension version if applicable, whether the issue happens on the website or in the extension, and the steps that led to it. Copy the exact error message or attach a screenshot with personal information hidden.
For account-specific issues, email us from your account address. You do not need to send your bookmark library.
